We recognize that each child is an individual and each has
his/her own talents and personalities. Throughout the year it will be the
desire, goals and responsibility of the teachers in the group to provide
experiences which will meet the needs of each and every child. The child
will be able to develop to his/ her fullest capacity, without the
restrictions of an imposed time table.
There will be time for physical
activities such as baseball, jump rope, kickball, relay races, etc. There will be a variety of age
appropriate activities for children to choose from. There will be opportunities for
multi cultural experiences. Children will learn to respect each other
cultures. Children will be active
participants in the daily planning of the activities. There will be opportunities for
peer groups involvement in small and large groups. We will utilize the resources
from the community as well as the parks and playgrounds. There will be space and time for
sharing between two children or more. We will provide time for parent
teacher conferences. We will provide opportunities to
meet the development of the group and the growth of the families in our
program. Families whose children need assistance with homework would be
able to get the necessary assistance. We will provide a curriculum
that will enhance children's self esteem.
